Shipping during cold winter monthsUpdated 2 months ago

❄️ Cold Weather Shipping Policy

🚫 No Temperature-Controlled Shipping (Standard Orders)

Due to the high cost, we do not offer temperature-controlled shipping for most orders. If you require this service, please contact us at [email protected] for a custom shipping quote.

🏢 Commercial Deliveries

Temperature-related issues are rare for commercial addresses, as couriers typically deliver during business hours when someone is available to receive the shipment immediately.

🏠 Residential Deliveries (Liquids & Sensitive Items)

If you are ordering liquids such as saline, please take the following precautions during cold winter months:

  • Monitor your tracking updates closely to avoid parcels being left outdoors

  • At checkout, select SMS notifications so you’re alerted when the order is out for delivery

  • Ensure someone is available to bring the parcel indoors shortly after delivery

⚠️ DO NOT FREEZE Stickers

We do not always apply “DO NOT FREEZE” stickers because they may cause delays in delivery. Most of the items we ship are safe to get cold or even freeze, and can simply defrost naturally once inside and be acceptable for use.

📸 If Your Order Arrives Frozen or Damaged

We do not refund items that are damaged due to being left outside in freezing temperatures. However:

  • If your order was mishandled by the courier and arrived frozen or cracked,
please take clear photos immediately and contact us so we can file a claim:

🔄 Important Usage Notes

  • Frozen Items: Allow all items to defrost naturally at room temperature

  • Birth Pools & Liners: These are made of plastic and may crack if unfolded while frozen—do not attempt to open until they are at room temperature completly.

  • Frozen Saline: This is a common issue for midwives and paramedics; once thawed naturally inside, saline is still safe to use

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring your items arrive safely during the colder months.
